Parents, Youth Both Think Teens Will Face Drinking Decision in Next Year

Although past-month alcohol consumption among under-age youth has decreased 53% since 2003, according to the Monitoring the Future Survey, more than half of parents and children believe youth will face a decision about drinking in the next year.

One reason for that 53% decrease in under-age drinking: since 2003, past-month conversations between parents and kids have increased 31%.
